Community Greening Volunteer
|
| Purpose: |
To assist with hands on projects and administrative work involved in the implementation of community lead park improvement projects.
|
| Major Responsibi- lities: |
- Assist with tree plantings, garden bed care, and other horticultural/ landscaping projects.

Monitor volunteer sign- in sheets during project work days.

Remove bulk trash, litter, and invasive plants from project sites.

Monitor community volunteer sign in sheets while at project sites.

Conduct tool inventory before and after project occurs.

Help assemble and send out mailings.

Help prepare for work day projects.

Other duties as assigned.

| Expectations: |
- Be willing to learn and teach others general horticultural and forestry knowledge and skills.

Maintain a professional attitude about volunteer work and report to project sites on time.

Accept differences in people in terms of cultural or economic background, race, religion, and values.

Responsible for recording their hours of service.

| Time Commitment: |
We offer one time and on going volunteer opportunities. Hands projects are scheduled in coordination with community groups. Projects are can be during the week and on weekends. On-going volunteer are welcome, and can assist the program with administrative work.
