Rain Barrel Workshop
All are welcome to join Parks & People Foundation in the construction of rain barrels, an ancient technique for water conservation. All materials will be provided. Installation instruction and assistance will be provided by Parks & People staff. This is a great way to save water while adding a beautiful masterpiece to your yard! The cost of the workshop is $60, however rain barrels are available to purchase without attending the workshop for $80. |

Gwynns Falls Trail Celebration
Please join the Parks & People Foundation and the Gwynns Falls Trail Council to celebrate the recently completed construction of the Gwynns Falls Trail to the I-70 Park & Ride facility on the City/County boundary. Come run, bike and walk on this new section of the Trail through historic Franklintown and on to Middle Branch or the Inner Harbor. There will be a professionally timed foot race (participants click to register) as well as walking and biking with our guides or on your own.
A 9.4 mile out-and-back hike from I-70 to Leon Day Park is in conjunction with the National Trails Day celebration of the recently completed construction of the Gwynns Falls Trail. |
