How to Apply
The application deadline for fall projects is January 27, 2012 at 5:00 pm.
To be eligible for funding, all prospective applicants to the Neighborhood Greening and Partnerships for Parks Grants Program are required to send a representative to a grant application training workshop. Returning applicants are encouraged to send a representative who has not attended in the past. If you miss the workshops, please email Valerie Rupp or call her at (410) 448-5663 ext. 114 and arrange to meet one-on-one to review program requirements and resources.
To be eligible for funding for Spring 2012, all applicants are required to:
- Send a representative to a grant application training workshop
- NEW! Submit a letter of intent by Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. Click here for instructions.
- Participate in a consultation with a Parks & People representative before submitting an application
- Submit a completed application by January 27, 2012 at 5:00 pm.
- Have a representative attend a technical site visit with a Parks & People representative

Partnerships for Parks Grants
Awards from $500-$5,000
Funding for service projects, trail stewardship, playground restoration, tree planting, maintenance activities and events supporting public parks. Grants are provided in partnership with the Baltimore City Department of Recreation & Parks.

Neighborhood Greening & Clean Water Grants
Awards up to $1,000
Funding for vacant lot improvements, community gardens, schoolyard plantings, tree plantings, water quality improvements and environmental education activities. Applicants with newly adopted vacant lots are eligible to receive in-kind services and materials and additional funding if available through the Baltimore City Power In Dirt Initiative.
