General Information

Eligibility
Baltimore City Public School students who will be in either the 2nd, 3rd or 4th grade during the following school year are eligible to attend Camp. Enrollment is limited and registration is first come, first served.

Dates
June 25 - August 3, 2012.

Camp Hours
Daily camp hours are 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Scholarships
Scholarships are available to parents/guardians who are experiencing a financial hardship. Scholarships are processed at The Parks & People Foundation located at 800 Wyman Park Drive, Suite 010 Baltimore, MD 21211. Scholarships are determined by a Parks & People staff member based on the financial information provided by the parent/guardian.

The following Information is needed to process a scholarship request:
     Food stamp verification
     Two recent paystubs
     Child support financial verification
     Aid to Dependent Children
     Social Security
     Section 8 awards
     Stipends

Location
Camp takes place at approximately 10 sites throughout Baltimore City. Each participant is assigned to a single site. Click here for a list of camp sites from last summer. 

In addition to their camp site, children will take fun field trips. Some of the locations are the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, CenterStage Theatre, Port Discovery, Downtown Sailing Center and the Constellation Museum. Click here for a list of our typical enrichment activity partner organizations.

Transportation
Campers are picked up at local elementary schools throughout Baltimore City. Prior to the start of camp you will be assigned a location and times for drop off and pick up. Locations are assigned based on camp enrollment in your area.
