In 2011, the program distributed $59,558 in grant funds to 17 organizations for projects ranging from garden bed improvements and plantings to new fences and benches.

Partnerships for Parks grants are awarded to neighborhood associations, schools, park friends groups, faith-based organizations and other community groups that wish to conduct park or recreation center improvements projects or programming. Awards range from $500-$5,000

Partnerships For Parks Grants are available for groups interested in conducting park or recreation center service projects, maintenance and beautification activities, trail stewardship, playground and sports field improvement, tree care, and events that support and build community. Grant funds may also be used for worker stipends, recreational activity equipment, park signs, plant material, maintenance tools and equipment, playground mulch, and other needed supplies.
