  Neighborhood Greening Grants:

Awards up to $1,000

Funding is for tree plantings, vacant lot clean-up and restoration, community gardens, schoolyard plantings, neighborhood clean-ups, water quality improvements, and environmental education activities.

 
 

Partnerships for Parks Grants:

Awards range from $500 - $5,000

Funding is for park clean-ups, trail stewardship, playground mulching and restoration, tree planting and pruning, park signs and events. Funding is provided by the Baltimore City Recreation and Parks Office of Partnerships.

Community Grants Program

Announcing availability of funds for Spring 2008!

You are invited to a Training Session for Community Greening Grants.

Please join Parks & People staff for a training session to learn more about the Community Grants Program. Information on both Neighborhood Greening and Partnership for Parks grants will be presented. These grants are offered to community groups, schools, and park friends groups located in Baltimore City.

At the training, you will learn about the application process, be assigned a Parks & People staff contact, and learn about organizing your project.

We are offering TWO sessions and attendance at one of them is MANDATORY for all applicants. The next application deadline is
February 1, 2008
. The Intent Form Deadline for Partnerships for Parks Grants is due January 18, 2008.

Training Dates & Location

December 11 & 13, 2007, 6pm-8pm

6pm-7pm
During the first hour we will provide up-to-date information on our Neighborhood Greening and Partnerships for Parks grant programs for applicants who have had success in applying for grants in the past. Find out what we fund and what we do not fund, in addition to gatherings ideas, suggestions and more! This hour is MANDATORY for all grant applicants.

7pm-8pm
Parks & People staff will be available for project-specific questions, consultation and to schedule site visits. There will also be opportunities to network with past and current Parks & People grant applicants and share information and resources.
