Baltimore
City Middle School Lacrosse League
The
Baltimore City Middle School Lacrosse League
provides
Baltimore City Public School students with the
opportunity to participate in organized lacrosse
league competition. The league consists of
10
Baltimore City Middle Schools. Annually, during
the spring more than 250 young people identified
by their schools participate in the
league.
Teams practice after school and play league games
against other middle schools on Mondays and
Wednesdays from April to June.
The
Baltimore City Middle School Lacrosse League is
an excellent opportunity for young people to learn
the fundamental skills of Lacrosse, teamwork and
sportsmanship. For many participants, this is
their only opportunity to participate in a structured
after school athletic program. Along with building
lacrosse skills, the league also reinforces the
importance of school by monitoring academic performance,
daily attendance, and citizenship of players.
At the end of each season, there is a tournament
in which the teams compete to be recognized as
Baltimore City Middle School Champions.
The
Baltimore City Middle School Lacrosse League is
sponsored in partnership with the US Lacrosse
Foundation and Baltimore City Public Schools.
