Druid Hill Park At Auchentoroly Terrace
Druid Hill Park at Auchentoroly Terrace is Parks and People's most ambitious project to date. We are thrilled to be working with our terrific partners to reclaim a historic slice of Druid Hill Park and create a new community hub which will provide space and resources for educational, environmental and recreational programs, neighborhood meetings, special events and more.
Soon we will begin work to restore the nine-acre corner of Baltimore’s premier park, Druid Hill, transforming it from a dangerous eyesore to a community asset. This triangular section of the park, located at the corners of Liberty Heights Avenure, Auchentoroly Terrace and Reisterstown Road (see the site plan in the image gallery above) will soon see new life.
To accomplish this remarkable goal, the Parks & People Foundation has embarked on a $12.2 million dollar campaign to restore the original landscape, rehabilitate the historic Superintendent’s House and build a new LEED Platinum certified building which will house an ecology center, administrative offices for the Foundation and more.
Your chance to help with this important project is coming soon! In the meantime, we invite you to scroll through the photos on the right side of this page to view images of the project. Stay tuned for more news!
