Annual Fund Campaign

It has been a very busy fall here at Parks & People! We have been planting trees, running our sports and environmental education programs, helping community gardeners harvest the last of their crops, leading field trips along the Gwynns Falls Trail and watching as families stream into revitalized parks to enjoy nature, recreation and the crisp fall air.

We are proud to support these activities and many others through our greening and youth programs made possible by our remarkable donors and volunteers. Donations from individuals ensure that Parks & People is able to:

  • Restore healthy green space in schoolyards by replacing asphalt with grass, plants and other natural materials.
  • Encourage children of all ages to explore nature and learn about the environment through nature play spaces, field trips and environmental education curriculum.
  • Support over 200 community, family and schoolyard gardens through the Community Greening Resource Network (CGRN).
  • Revitalize, maintain and promote the use of dozens of local parks throughout the city.
  • Challenge almost 1,000 young people to get outdoors and play sports including soccer, lacrosse, volleyball and baseball.
  • Improve neighborhoods by planting an average of over 2,000 trees, removing trash and improving water quality.
  • Educate children and support literacy through SuperKids Camp.
