Ujamma Cove Grand Opening and Dedication Ceremony

On Saturday, October 11th, 2025, Parks & People, along with O’Hara Development Partners, Mother Seton Academy, and Nature Sacred, took part in the grand opening and dedication of the newly opened Ujamma Cove park in the East Baltimore Midway community. This project's goal was to provide the community with a strong asset in the form of a green space as the neighborhood begins to recover from neglect and disinvestment.

Parks & People worked with O'Hara Development Partners to refine the design created by EnviroCollab and construct the park. The work included grading, boulders, plantings, fencing, relocating the shipping container, the addition of a hydrant for water, pathways, and sod.
