Since 1984, the organization has transformed neglected areas into vibrant parks, ensuring access to nature for neighborhoods in East and West Baltimore. Through programs like SuperKids Camp and Branches, we engage over 1,000 students annually in education, workforce development, and environmental stewardship. Parks & People also collaborates with local partners to create parks within a 10-minute walk of residents, fostering wellness, unity, and pride across the city.

    Parks & People currently offers two youth programs. We provide SuperKids Camp, a free summer camp for Baltimore City rising 1st-5th graders. We also offer Branches, a paid internship and workforce development after-school program for Baltimore City high schoolers.

Through decades of work, we’ve transformed neglected 40 acres of land into vibrant public spaces, supported local leaders, and empowered the next generation to care for their environment and neighborhoods, impacting 108,816 residents.
