Parks & People exists to ensure that all of Baltimore’s parks are beautiful, safe, active spaces that are accessible to and used by all people.

Our vision is to unite Baltimore by ensuring that everyone is connected to nature through vibrant open and accessible green spaces. In fact, we’ve been making this happen, neighborhood by neighborhood, one park and one person at a time, for 30 years.


We also believe that we can only achieve our goals through collaboration and partnerships with local communities, fellow nonprofits, government agencies and our supporters. People just like you, in other words. That’s why we support the efforts of city residents committed to maintaining, establishing and beautifying parks by providing funding, technical resources, educational opportunities and advice on projects of all sizes.
