A new park on a post-demolition site

Parks & People's first post-demo park in partnership with MD DHCD. Located in the Easterwood/Sandtown/Matthew A. Henson neighborhood, the park was created as a pilot project following a full-block demolition. Community leader Doc Cheatham champions the space, leading maintenance and programming efforts. Parks & People used MD DHCD funding to implement the space and solicited many in-kind contributions. The park was completed in 2017.
