East Baltimore Midway cuts the ribbon on a new park
On June 25, 2026, Parks & People gathered with partners, funders, and community members to celebrate the ribbon-cutting of the East Baltimore Midway Gateway community park. In partnership with O'Hara Development and Nature Sacred, this project beautifies an entryway into the neighborhood while addressing inequities in park distribution in East Baltimore. Designed by landscape architects EnviroCollab and constructed by D.A. Dunlevy, this 5,700-square-foot park, located at 501 E 22nd St, Baltimore, MD 21218, serves approximately 2,250 residents, giving them a beautiful place to gather and enjoy.
