Paid Internship & Summer Job Program

Branches is an after-school paid internship and workforce development program for Baltimore City high-schoolers, with a focus on exploring green careers.

The most valuable part was definitely gaining hands-on experience in conservation fieldwork. Learning practical skills, such as invasive species removal and trail maintenance, made the environmental concepts we discussed in class feel real and actionable.

  1. COLLEGE AND CAREER READINESS

    Participate in weekly college and career readiness sessions highlighting pathways to successful employment.

  2. PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

    Financial literacy, critical thinking, problem solving, and team cohesion are only a few of the things you’ll practice.

  3. EXPLORE THE OUTDOORS

    Explore Baltimore’s parks and outdoor spaces while using science and recreation to practice environmental stewardship.

Branches helped me get out of my comfort zone by connecting with new people, learning from different organizations, and participating in things I never thought I’d do before.
